Still Finding It Impossible to Cut a Base to Size Properly

I can't manage to do it, on poly or lace, without cutting into the hair. _SOMETIMES_ I can get sneak the scissors/razor behind the hair and get at the base without affecting the surrounding here, but that's seldom the case, and I end up losing hair...

Tips?

As for losing hair when you resize a base, you will ALWAYS cut off a bit of excess hair. There's no way to avoid that. To quote our friend Noah in the first post above:

'There is always going to be an area of the lace base which is surplus to requirement, and which you cut off. The hairs which are attached to that surplus base are also cut off, and are for the trash.

Or you can make yourself a false moustache with it if you're feeling frivolous'.
