Stick to finasteride or hop onto Duta? The differences.

You'll find the story of my last 6 months on treatments with pictures in this thread here - http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/showthread.php/98619-21-Years-old-my-story-HELP

I haven't really got an answer to my question so I thought I'd post here.
Should I stick on Finasteride till I reach the year mark and then re-evaluate or hop onto Dutasteride right now?

I haven't experienced any sides so far on finasteride so I believe that although it is more likely to experience sides on dutasteride, I should be fine.
I don't believe I have made any noticeable/decent gains on finasteride but I haven't lost any ground either so I guess it's kind of working. I would like however to thicken my frontal forelock and turn the small vellus hairs on my temples to terminal ones.

Due to my aggressive hair loss for my age (21 years old). I feel that I might need something stronger to achieve noticeable gains and I know that Duta inhibits DHT more than finasteride does.

What do you guys think?

as i said before.
i think duta is better..
ive tried both,
oral finasteride didnt do much for me, but that might be because i was using it topically for a good amount of time before..
dutasteride seemed to have stopped my hairloss in a matter of weeks, but than again i havent got any regrowth from it.
for the first month or so i had some strong SE which included mostly ball aches (bad ones though), but they have passed after a while...
i didnt had problems with getting it hard though, neither with ejaculating ...
ive used topical finasteride for maybe 2 years until at a certain point i think it just didnt worked as well,
than i hopped on oral dutasteride
than had to stop
than got on oral finasteride
didnt do a thing at all
than recently i hopped back on both oral and topical dutasteride.

anyway to summerise this -
i think dutasteride is overall better than finasteride, altough there are some ball pains at first, i didnt had problems with getting things hard (which on finasteride i had but only a little bit and only at the beginnig)
and for me it gave more quiet knowing that im taking probably the strongest 5-ar out there as of today.
so make your choice, but dont expect too much regrowth, at least for me there wasnt (took dutasteride for a bit more than a year untill i had to stop)

Thanks for the reply. Still got a couple weeks left of finasteride then i'll make my decision. Just want to maximise the regrowth on treatments and not lose anything before I hopefully get a transplant in a year or 2.

Steve, since your hair has done well on Finasteride, I do not think Dutasteride is needed. But if you wish to make the switch, then go for it. :p
