Hi
So ive done a few threads about the state of my hair so sorry if it sounds repetitive but ive got a diagnosis of my hair and some good advice on what i should do would be appreciated.
As alot of you know some people who go finasteride can experience a hormonal shock which results in there hair to go into its resting stage otherwise known as telogen effluvium. This happened to me but its not a severe case of telogen effulivium as the hairs do not come out when you pull them, its more of an acute case as they have just effeictevly become thin and brittle.
I wouldnt get so down about it but i have long hair and its now lost its thickness and it looks lifeless. Ive carried on taking finasteride and i shed less hairs but my hair is in a telogen effluvium state.
Telogen effluvium is a temporary type of hair loss and almost always grows back once the underlying issue has been resolved, however iam worried that if carry on taking finasteride is the issue it will just stay in that state of T.E and new hairs will be thin.
Sould i stay on fina and realistically what is the time frime of my hair returning back to normal bare in mind i have shoulder length hair?
Is there a light at the end of the tunnel..
