Stay the course? - I really value your quick opinion

I swear I promised that I wouldn't make a post like this, but here I am doing it anyways. I was applying 2% minoxidil once a day starting in September and never noticed a serious shed. Then while waiting for 5% minoxidil I only applied a few days a week for about a 3 week period. Once my 5% minoxidil came in I applied twice a day and about a week into it I started to notice a marked increase in shedding.... hair on my hands when applying, hair in the sink, hair in the shower. My question is, would you stay the course and say that this is the normal shed or do you think I'm having a bad reaction to the 5% minoxidil? I've read so many posts about shedding, including Cassin's informative post, however, the reason I ask is because the noticable shed came so quickly after starting the 5% and has continued to this day (I'm one month into using the 5% minoxidil).

Please guys, I would really appreciate your objective opinion. Thanks.

It sounds totally normal to me. Many people make the mistake of quitting when this happens. Stay with it...

Thanks for responding, the only reason I posted is because I never saw this issue with the 2% and then it hit me almost right away with the 5%. Of course, I guess the 2% could have been having a marginal effect and then the 5% push it over the edge so to speak.
