Hi everyone, new member here.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, and I've been suffering the fear of losing my hair since childhood. I must have been 12 or 13 when my dad started to talk about hair loss and I became conscious on the subject, getting extremely paranoid when I saw hairs on my comb. My dad went bald at 27-28 if I recall correctly from pictures, and that always haunted me.
I need to clarify that since a little kid, I have a full, full set of hair above my scalp, and it grows really fast.
So at my teen years, I started to pay more attention, and to use specific shampoos for hair loss (some with nettle extract, some with bioxidil) and at that time, It seemed like it caused more damage than good. I will often see more hairs fall on my pillow or my hand, and for a long time I couldnt even run my fingers through my bangs of fear.
So I switched back and forth, sometimes I didnt have any money for expensive shapoos and used whatever was on my reach, even those cheap hotel ones, that my mom takes on her trips. I stopped worrying by that, and it seemed that that was good, because (even tho I didnt have the silkiest hair) it looked strong, and not brittle anymore).
So that was that. years passed, and I still always though about baldness, and what could I do to make my hair and my scalp healthy, so after reading alot, and having some bucks to spend, I purchased an all natural shampoo (no parabens, no chemicals, no artificial scents, with natural rosemary extract) and some virgin coconut oil. I also add a little bit of green tea to the mix, and started my homemade treatment.
All that looks good, feels good, i feel my hair stronger. BUT, and there goes the big but, I noticed that some spots are apearing on my hair, where hair used to be (although im not sure about it, I dont quite remember if my hairline was already like that). I attached some pictures to show, my hair is wet on them, and the side picture is to show the spacing of my hair, and that it looks like balding if I do that, so that also confuses my when I look on the mirror. But it was always like that.
So after all that, my question is, is it possible that all that stuff that suposedly is good for the hair, gets me the opposite result?
Thank you all for reading this long testament!
