Telling someone he shouldn't have kids because he's balding has to be one of the most retarded things I've seen on this forum. Holy sh*t.

Sorry OP, it sounds really shitty and selfish thing to do, to bring a child to the world with a high chance he will suffer just like you or worse.
I don't know what planet you live on but nobody says dumb sh*t like that. What people say is: I hope my child is hotter, smarter & more successful than me and doesn't inherit any of my bad qualities. Nobody procreates with the thought that if X happens (be it balding, small dick, being short, …), their child is a failure. Doesn't mean you can wish for it not to happen.
You really think if people were somehow guaranteed their child would have a minor defect they would choose not to procreate? Or that they should choose not to? Because if balding is a reason, being short should be a reason, having a small dick should be a reason, having a bad facial structure should be a reason, the list goes on & on. How many people are allowed to procreate in your utopia filled with 10's?
Your view on the world is extremely alarming I must say.
If this is what you understand from what swingline and me wrote maybe you the retarded one?Telling someone he shouldn't have kids because he's balding has to be one of the most retarded things I've seen on this forum. Holy sh*t.
females will still inherit the bald gene and manifest as female pattern hairloss later. Here's why I think that it's not a terrible thing to do if I have children.
-The child could be female.
Alright you got me. Depression is clearly just as genetic as the balding gene. Safe to assume there's at least an 80% chance his kid would be severely depressed as well. Well, unless it's a girl of course. And unless he (in case of a boy) gets on medication early. Oh and unless he actually doesn't care as much as his father does, like the vast majority of balding people in the world.
so basically play roulette with another persons possible life even though odds are already stacked against you? Id love to hit a casino with you. Let me be the first to tell you, if the father is openly depressed about his hair loss the kid is going to pick up those traits.
The father is depressed because he has no purpose in life. Having a family would most likely resolve that issue and bring him happiness.
And in what way are the odds stacked against this kid? You're basically assuming it's a boy with hair loss so aggressive that even early medication can't stop it AND on top of that absolutely 0 progress will be made in the next 20 years? Come on now.

He's depressed because he has no hair, not no purpose
the kid, if its a boy will likely blame his father when he starts to lose his hair. and for the next 20yrs its still the big 3
