My digi came today & im going to add RU 54881 to my regimen tonight. i stopped using propecia 4 weeks ago & have seem some great regrowth in the last 2 years. i also use minoxodil twice per day & nizeral, laser comb & derma roller twice per week. plus vitamins & iodine pills.

my plan is to use 50 mg of RU in the morning & 50mg more at night.

i plan on making weekly batches & mixing it directly into my minoxodil solution which uses pg & alcohol as the vehicle!

hopefully u guys can give some thoughts or experiences with RU and my planned dosage!

ill update my progress & thanks

Why have you quit finasteride? Don't expect it to be anywhere close to finasteride in terms of results. It wasen't in my case anyways.

Yeah its always a little odd to me when someone posts finasteride worked great and they quit. Why quit if its working so well? I know everyone talks about RU like its some amazing treatment but the evidence it works and does so safely is a tiny tiny fraction of what propecia has. Propecia has mountains of evidence its safe and works there just isnt anything else remotely as good.

well RU is topical with no side effects which is really appealing to me, conversley, propecia has really terrible sides & while not all permanent, it is known to shrink the prostate which is not reversible.

it just sucks its not very stable, it sucks having to keep it in fridge & make new batches all the time.

Seems that you say no to every treatment including the cutting edge ones that with solid science behind. How can you say that finasteride is safe with so high certainty when there is mountains of evidence of long term damage and short tern sides while criticizing the pgd2 theory with just your speculation?

Propecia has 5 year double blind studies peer reviewed. It has 10 year long term studies on frontal hairline. It has 20 years of real world use. I just dont know what else in cutting edge treatments has that evidence. I did not mean to criticize anything or anyone from trying experimental treatments with less evidence they work. I might try RU myself and PGD 2 has tons of promise. They are pursuing a new drug based on it so it certainly has credibility.

Don't assume an untested chemical has no side effects. Put simply, you might (all users) go blind in 20 years from using it. Your a guinea pig.

The shrinking prostate myth. There is evidence it returns to normal size after discontinuing finasteride correct?

I would not recommend stopping finasteride and replacing it with RU as there not that many success stories out there confirming its effectiveness.

Im using finasteride with a little lower dosage (0.75mg) and it seems to work sidewise and also RU on 50mg

Also I tried RU 150mg for a few a days and there seemed to be definite loss in sensation and libido but there could have been other reasons for it those days. Others have also complained about sides on RU so i wouldnt count on it being side free.
