Starting Rogaine Treatment First Time

Hello,

Later today I am going to the store to buy my first batch of Rogaine. I am exited/scared, and I am at a point where I must start using it; before it will be TOO late.

I was reading on this, and others site for the past year, trying to learn as much as I can and prepare myself for the moment I would have to take action.

Before I start, I have a few questions:

I currently use Nizoral 1%, T-Gel and Selsum blue (I have a bad case of dandruff). What other shampoos and conditioners should I use? What are some of the best ones/most helpful?

I will also be buying Jason’s thick to thin (should I get both shampoo and conditioner?) and apple cider vinegar (how exactly do I use that?)

My hair is reseeding in the front, and it already started spreading from the temples into the crown. Do I apply Rogaine all through the areas, from the temples down the head into the vertex?

I would appreciate any feedback and tips, I am very nervous regarding this as this a major life adjustment for me.

Thanks in advance

I'm no expert and I've just started using Rogaine as well, but I use 2% Nizoral twice weekly and Nioxin Shampoo & Conditioner on other days.

Apparently people have had success with Rogaine on the frontal areas, so you can just do what I do and apply it everywhere, I don't see how it could cause any harm.

How is Nioxin? My stylist mentioned it to me and I did some research; its looks good but it doesn't get much love in many of the sites and forums. What # are you using? Would you say it made any difference?

I'm using the #2 3-part system and I'm pretty sure I've seen a slight improvement although I know it gets a lot of heat on various internet forums and probably for good reason.

I'm still using Nioxin for lack of a better option, and if anything, I believe it does provide a healthy environment for hair to grow in, but if there is some shampoo that is widely recognized to be better, I'd definitely give it a try.
