Starting Revivogen treatment and scared already..

Hi, I've recently started the Revivogen treatment on my hair backed up with Nizoral. At the moment I'm young and have a pretty full head of hair, except for one small part that is thinning genetically.

I've been using Revivogen for 5 days and I'm already freaking out at the shedding. It's roughly 70 hairs a day (yes, I know, "normal" :( ) but my thinned out area is getting worse and I originally shed much less before I started treatment.

Can anyone who has experience with hairloss treatments such as Revivogen, offer me any words of wisdom?

Thanks guys.

Usually, when shedding starts after starting a treatment,it's a good sign.Be patient, give the meds a chance to work...i think that you should *** something more, not only revivogen...what about S5 cream or finasteride?

Don't bother trying to count hair fallout, just take before and after photos of your hair wet, to measure progress.

Revivogen, just like Minoxidil, Finasteride or any other treatment that actually works, will make you hair shed heavily in the first 2-6 weeks, ride it out. The shed hair will grow back much stronger and thicker looking in a couple of months.

I actually stopped Revivogen stupidly after just over 2 months because I thought it was giving me sleeping problems, but I could already see my hairline thickening up nicely in that time, so I've jumped back on it now and I'm just hoping that my sleep problems were unrelated.

I used Revivogen back in Aug-Nov, I noticed some results, but I never had a shed, but a good bit of scalp irritation, so I quit when I ran out. I decided to give it another go In the beginning of January, the first 3 weeks were fine, maybe slight scalp peeling, but nothing like before. The beginning of Feb I took a bold move and I shaved my head, for the last two weeks I have been shedding 30+ hairs a day, for the last two years I was shedding less than 10 a day....I think I am going to try to stick with it and hope for the best.

Rick, out of interest, where do you get your 2.5% copper peptides from and how much does it cost roughly per month??

I ordered it trough a group buy on another forum, its ahk peptides the ones that where used in the tricomin trials
I think they are selling it for 30$ per grams right now, I ordered 20g so it will propably last for many years as I only use it in the front

nizoral is very dangerous for liver. Even topically
http://rosacea-support.org/topical-2-ketoconazole-warnings-for.html

Especially with dermaroller (I wouldn't use dermaroller and nizoral on the same day).. it's like injection...

nizoral shampoo should be left for 5 minutes, like in instruction..

You can find some Ketoconazole (nizoral) oral studies with lethal cases on the internet.

That study refers to topical gel, not the shampoo which is on the scalp for a very short time.
thats true but on the other hand its applyed on a pretty large area

It doesn't get absorbed in a hydrated scalp...left on for a few minutes or even more? :dunno:

That's irrelevant to a large extent because not enough of the active ingredient gets absorbed, alot of what is applied in shampoo form will be in the hair and not the scalp. A gel will have alot of time to penetrate the skin. You also have to take into account the vehicle solution used as well.

I think that its pretty logicall that if a small area like the tip of the nose can cause systematicall absortion then a much larger area could potentially cause a greater amount of absorption.
Nizoral shampoo is basically a kind of topical you apply to the scalp

Then you obviously have to take into account the amount of time its being applyed wich is alot less when using the shampoo wich will decrease the chance of systematicall absorption

A topic with revivogen clearly in the title by a person with 1 post seems suspicious of someone trying to promote revivogen to me although always impossible to prove I guess.
