Starting Propecia Need Advice...

ok so ive been diffuse balding for just over 3 years now and its getting pritty bad but luckily i can shave my head on a zero guard and it looks ok but i know its only going to get worse, i want to start propecia but im going to ween myself on it with low dosages because of the side effects it can give so i was wondering is it ok to cut the pills in half and take that half daily just till my body gets used to it? Also has anybody had any positive effects with only taking the half dosage?

if all go's well i plan to add minoxidil into the mix after 3-6 months thanks for your time people

Sounds like a good plan. There are different ways to ween onto the drug. You could take the full dose every other day to start. You could even take .25mg ED to start. But your plan seems fine also. Just don't over think it. I would say take it before you start your day. Don't take it at the time where you can sit and think about all the sides you may get.

Im not on it now, but I am thinking about trying it. If I go that route I would go 1/4 a day and than just stop thinking about it. Its just like a vitamin or something you take everyday and go on with life there is nothing more you can do

@Notcoolanymore thank you buddy are you on finasteride? if so how are you finding it? if anyone alse wants to add there 2cents about how there finding it, if they are maintaining or have had regrowth or even negatives i would really appreciate it

so it would be fine to cut the pills into quarters? whats the best way to cut the pills into quarters to get an even dosage?

Yes it's fine. Get yourself a pill cutter from a pharmacy.
