Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum.

I'm currently 23 years old and I'm starting to see my hair thinning and receding hair line. Will post pics later on.

What I want to do is apply Minoxidil foam in the morning, and liquid at night (More cost effective).
I also have Nizoral, but not sure how often to apply it. So any advice is welcomed.
And I'm also taking Biotin.

Would that regimen work?

A couple of questions I got, are:

- My hairloss isn't BAD, so how long until I can start expecting results? I do have medium/long hair.
- Can I blow dry my hair? SHould I do before applying the foam, or after applying the foam and letting it sit for about 10mins?

Thank you.

Tom.

Hi tom,

looks like you have 2 out of 3, but i would recommend adding finasteride - (propecia/proscar) ,

it prevents DHT from impacting on the hairs, minoxidil will help regrow but wont stop the cause of hair loss,

i use nizoral 2-3 times a week, let it soak in well during your shower,

on your questions , starting early is key, results are hard to define, maintenance of what you have should be obtained relatively quickly, maybe a few months,
i wouldnt blow dry after applying the foam

I'm quite conerned about taking an oral med for this. Doesn't finasteride have quite a bit of side effects?

i can only speak for myself, but i haven't had any side effects, been on propecia for 3 years.

i have read on these forums and elsewhere that there are possibilities of sides though, but again there can be side effects with any medicines.

I stay away from the meds.
I use minoxidil 2x a day, in the morning and the evening.
I cannot use Nizoral it is too rough for me.
I use Regenepure Dr. But the thing you got to do with keto shampoo is just like any other shampoo.
Rub and leave it in for 5 minutes then rinse.Use the shampoo in the morning before you apply the minoxidil.
Ketoconazole will clear up your scalp and let the better asboration of the minxodil.

finasteride side effects are rare and temporary. The only side effects associated with finasteride are low libido and ED that go away withing a few weeks of stopping it. Only a few percent max of people who take finasteride experience these side effects. If you only wish to maintain and do not necessarily care if you get regrowth, than I would consider dropping the minoxidil and only using finasteride. If you want regrowth, keep the minoxidil and add finasteride to your regimen as well.
