Hey I think Im gonna add 5% foam to my regime. Ive been on propecia for almost 14 monthsand it hasnt done much, my hairline is steadly getting wose. I have also been using 2% keto shampoo 2 times a week since october.

What can i expect in terms of shedding I know everyone is different but what were your experiences. Im pretty freaked out about the shed so please let me know how it went for you. Im basically a NW3 with a alot of minituzation in the hairline, are all these hairs going to shed? Is minoxidil worth it will it really give me results? Also will it work if i just put it on once a day at night? Thanks!

In terms of circumstances I am pretty much exactly the same!

14 months on finasteride, hairline getting worse (Albeit probably at a slower rate) and scared of a shed.

I've been on minoxidil for 2 weeks, no shedding at all, in fact I see less hairs shed.

Dr Lee told me if you pull at your thinning hair (fairly gently), the amount that comes out can indicate how much you will shed, as it's only these hairs which will shed from minoxidil.

If it's 1-2 per 30 or so hairs that's completely normal. If it's 4-5 you could have Telogen Effluvium, and in for major shedding.

hey man thanks for the reply, thats an intereseting way to see if you will shed. If you dont mind, since you already started, and were kinda in the same situation, Id like to use you as my guinea pig, maybe you could shoot some updates as time passes and let me know how its going. Best of luck brotha!

I started using Dr Lee's Minoxidil 6%plus with finasteride a little over 5 weeks ago. I have not experienced any shed what so ever plus its not greasy. Ive not used the Foam but I can only assume its about the same. Granted I dont know if the shed is prevent any by the addition of finasteride in the Minoxidil or not.
