Title says it all really. I ordered a 6 month supply which arrived earlier. Haven't had a chance to see the doctor yet but I have an appointment booked in a couple of weeks.
I'm holding off the minoxidil for now as my thinning isn't noticeable to others. I just want to maintain what I have.
I've just started Nizoral shampoo too, going to use it twice a week as my scalp does seem to have a few spots on it. Could anyone recommend any shampoo/conditioner to use on the other days, or does it not really matter?
If this works, will my hair just continue to grow as normal? Will the volume or texture be any different? I do also seem to be greying quite a bit, my mum and brother are completely grey.. will I likely continue to grey too?
Another question is should I jump straight in for the 1mg, or try .5mg to begin with.. I'm almost 31 and the pictures show the stage of my balding/thinning, my dad is bald but his brother and my 36 year old brother has a full head of hair if that counts for anything. I'm particularly concerned with my receding temples, I've read that finasteride doesn't regrow the hairline, will it atleast halt it?
I've also attached a photo (low quality) of my scalp from when I was about 18 to hopefully show how the thinning
