Stabilization

There isn't any significant hairloss in either side of my family. I have a few uncles that have had slight recession, but that's about it. Anyway, I'm a diffuse thinner. I'm hanging on to the hopes that my hair is thinning out but will stabilize and hold like the rest of my family members. As far as this stabilization is concerned, who is this most likely to happen to, a diffuse thinner or someone who experiences recession. Basically, am I doomed as I am a diffuse thinner or am I more likely to stabilize my hair as I'm only a diffuse thinner and haven't really experienced much recession?

This is all a shot in the dark as I'm quite sure there isn't a concrete answer to it but any info is helpful.

Thanks guys.

There's no real answer to that.

Hairloss is unpredictable. Did your dad/grandfather start diffuse thinning around your age?

Any pics?

Diffuse patterned alopecia is no different than regular male pattern baldness in terms of responsiveness to the treatments.

I've never met my grandfather but have seen some pics and he died with a full head of hair, and a bit of a deep hairline. My father, on the other hand, has a great head of hair and is actually starting to diffusely thin right now, while in his late 50s. As for my mother's side, my grandfather had pretty thin, bone-straight hair, but it was all there. My uncles on my mom's side have deep hairlines, but still have their hair.
