Ok, I am currently NW1 at 20 years old, and I am not sure if I have male pattern baldness or not since I just got a thin hair cut(Well, I ask for it, and it freak me out)

I am planning to use 1% Nizoral shampoo right now, and if male pattern baldness really started, I am considering using the spironolactone cream.

Do you guys think this is a good plan? Any one have the similar situation (maintain in the early stage)?

I heard someone in here have good result (at least maintain) from spironolactone cream, but also there are so many people think spironolactone is useless.

I am confused about spironolactone cream now, Please give me some advice. Thanks

There's limited evidence that spironolactone cream actually works effectively.

Jump on the Big 3 or just use finasteride to stop any sort of progression.

Hey bud,

I started noticing hair loss around your age and i am 24 years old now. I would suggest by starting off with nizoral 1% every 2-3 days for now with another hair stimulant shampoo such as tricomin or revivogen. I believe propecia messed with my hormones and made my hair recede at the front+temples at a faster rate as i actually lost more hair than gained in those regions within the past 8 months of being on my this medication. The problem i encountered i believe is related to how i disrupted my hormones and disturbing your hormone profile may actually make your hair loss worse if you are losing it. I have also used spironolactone for the past 2 months with no effect on mitigating the hair loss. I also believe it could possibly create 'brain fog' as i feel like it interfers with my train of thought but this is just speculation and i have no evidence to proof this is a side effect. From what i read, spironolactone is effective so it wouldn't hurt to try it out and perhaps it can maintain your hair by preventing DHT accumulating in your scalp. If your hair loss becomes worse and you start to notice significant hair loss at your temples, hairline or see balding at the crown, maybe that is your cue to try propecia out but be warned that it is not compatible for everyone and it MIGHT make your hair problems worse.

Regards,
