I have had 2 transplants and are somewhat dissapointed as I expected full coverage of my tonsure bald spot but only gotpartial results. The 1st were a so-so medical group and the 2nd a very renowned board certified specialist. I Took Propecia and now the new wonder for several months, Durastide I think its called. Now, I have very litte chance of seeing my scalp as Ihave been spraying for years with Jerome Russells scalp covering spray which is much better than TOPIK in my experience as the 2nd one falls off easily and does not last. The 1st MD group I had my transplant with mentioned their concern with the spray as an inhibitor for follicle growth, Dr. Epstein did not.I trust Dr Epstein more as he is more qualified than the other "fly-by'night-pseudomedicalgroup of surgeons. All in all, I am in denial as just by sprayng the Jerome Russell product a few times a week and not necessarilyshampooing that area every day I have forgotten about all baldness issues. Does anyone have more info on whether these sprays may or may not inhibit follicle growth. I am thinking about a 3rd transplant but somewhat skeptical as it just leaves me scarred and the results have been less than great. Its been 3.5 years since my 1st transplant and almost two since the 2nd. I am a bit lost.
