splitting proscar

for those of you who split proscar into fifths, how do you do it?
im thinking of switching my finasteride to proscar but splitting it but im afraid of getting the wrong dosage

get a pill cutter from your local pharmacy.

or get a really sharp knife like i do, although the pill cutter is better.
