spironolactone vs Revivogen

Im having success with a slight variation of the big three. I use revivogen and only use proscar quarter 3 times per week. I suffered sides some years ago and if I don't balance my proscar intake I get very tired and brain dead.

My question is whats better spironolactone or revivogen? Does anyone have experience with both and what are the pro and cons?

I think my regime is good but maybe it could be better?

I think the idea is to use both spironolactone and Revivogen together for full potency, but obviously in practical terms this is almost impossible for most people.

If I was to choose between the two, I would say Revivogen. This is because Revivogen actually eliminates all DHT in the area of application, spironolactone on the otherhand only blocks DHT from reaching the follicle, but does not stop DHT production.

Where did I read this nonsense???

The HairLossTalk.com information page, they class spironolactone as an "androgen blocker" and Revivogen as a "DHT inhibitor and androgen blocker".

Of course it doesn't eliminate ALL dht in the area of application, no treatment does, I was only trying to illustrate the difference between Rev and spironolactone.

The reason you don't hear anything about Rev is because no one commits to it for longer than 2months because it's too messy or they have a shed (which is perfectly natural).

Speak to Dr House, he maintained for many years with the use of Revivogen.

Also, of course RU, finasteride/dutasteride are more effective antiandrogens  That goes without saying, but this guy is complaining about sides. dutasteride is only going to make finasteride sides worse + the safety profile of RU is completely unknown, hence the spironolactone vs Revivogen thread :)

Another N-sense :) Where did you read this one?
Anyway, when it comes to spironolactone vs Revivogen, I would definitely go with spironolactone.

Read this thread b****s....

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=63144

This guy states clearly that's he maintained all his hair for over a year with Revivogen since switching from Propecia.

If you think it's messy and smells like sh*t then fair enough, but don't go dismissing it completely without any hard evidence, if anything there's more proof behind rev than spironolactone.

There's certainly some sound science behind the potential use of fatty acids (like Revivogen uses) as topical 5a-reductase inhibitors. I just wish some serious scientists would test Revivogen (or one of its fatty acids) for a direct effect against male pattern baldness, and publish the results in a respected journal.
