spironolactone/Prozac Interaction = Need another option

This sucks but, apparently spironolactone has been shown to nearly negate the effects of Prozac, and all other SSRIs. Atleast, thats what I got out of what I researched. I kind of am in a mental state where the prozac is very necessary.. But, spironolactone would've been an amazing thing if I could use it to keep the hair I have.

For those who don't know me (I've posted on here several times) I'm 16, therefore too young for finasteride. I'm trying to keep what I've got until I can try propecia.

Any suggestions?

I'm drinking black tea every day, using Rogaine, a DHT Inhibiting shampoo, and I'm generally a very healthy 16 year old. Work out almost daily, eat pretty healthy.

Unforunately I happen to be a swimmer, which means my hair is regularly being tugged on by chlorinated water, so, I'm sure that hasn't exactly helped anything, and may actually be speeding up my hair loss. I don't know. Just looking for something more I could add that may help.

Keep me posted if you find something that works without sides like erectile dysfunction or penile numbness :D

See, I basically already have that from the depression. And now I pretty much still have it from the Prozac, though there hasn't been much of a change from how I was while depressed, and how I am now with the prozac. I don't think the finasteride sides would be like, unusual to me, as sad as that sounds.

But yeah, I'll keep you apprised

Sorry to hear that man! Keep your head up and don't freak out about the hair too much. There's way more important stuff than that in life. Just me 2 Cents on a hair loss forum :)
