Just joined the forum as I've been lurking for far to long and I'm after some oprions.

I'm 25 years old, Norwood 2/3. I tried finasteride a couple of times but had to stop due to the sexual sides. They weren't horrific and I'm sure plenty of men would have considered them not significant enough to stop but they affected my life enough to tell me I needed to knock it on the head.

Took up minoxidil once I quite finasteride and been on that for 4 months now with I'm not sure what degree of success. Haven't regrown anything but guess my temples aren't worse than before so maybe it's helping maintain.

Anyway, I really want to add something to try block DHT in there but I'm wondering if it's worth it if I can't use finasteride.

I see a lot of people use sprio cream but I'm yet to read any posts on the various hair loss sites I've visited in which people attribute their hair loss stopping to spironolactone.

Is there anyone at all on this forum who has had success with it? Seems pointless starting it and spending all that money if there's barely anyone at all who can say it's really worked.

I've heard it works great when combined with other products but not sure how it fairs on its own.
