Spectral DNC-L Users: How Much Do You Use In A Month?

I use at least 3-4 bottles a month, just for the hairline. This is ridiculous!

How many bottles do you guys typically go through a month?

The bottles are so small and the pump is horrible!

Still on my first bottle. What you rubbing it on? I still have half a bottle and have been on it for 5 months. I have only been rubbing it on the frontal hairline too.

I hope you are not rubbing in 4 pumps on to the hair line and affected area! That amount is recommended for the crown only!

2 small pea size amounts per temple area is right.

You've only used a half bottle in 5 months??!! Good lord. How much do you apply daily? That's just not right dude.... If you can get by on 2 pea-sized amounts I'm pretty sure you're not balding....

I've tried using less but soon as I do, about an entire quarter inch section of my hairline begins to thin out VERY quickly... Like, within a day or two if I stop. It's scary. That's how I know the DNC-L is the only thing keeping my hairline alive right now.

But it's expensive. $60 per bottle and like I said, I am using at least 3-4 a month.... I cant really afford to do this indefinitely. I am checking out the Nanominox that someone suggested....

I like Spectral DNC-L in that it actually does seem to work on my hairline, but it leaves nasty yellow stains, it's so expensive, and I need to use so much of it...

Does anyone have any other suggetions?

I don't understand why you need so much for your hairline-- I mean it's a 2 oz bottle like any other minoxidil and a bottle a week seems kind of ridiculous.

Why don't you dump the contents into an empty tub or something and forget that applicator.

This isn't even possible. Stopping entirely isn't even going to effect your hair in a day or two.

Seriously you are applying too much. Spectral DNC-lotion was designed for the crown only. If you read the horrible booklet. The instructions to apply 4 pumps on to the area affected, meaning the crown. So if you applying to the frontal hairline, 2 pumps is enough.

I really wish I was not balding. Unfortunately, I am. All the males in the family and relations are bald as ever. They all lost all their hair at 25 years old. The only reason why I have slowed down the process is mainly due to propecia and not spectral DNC-lotion.

I use a tiny bit after i put on my regular minoxidil in the morning. one lil squirt I mix in on my temples and around hairline to compliment the kirklands. That way the brown stain ain't so noticable. But yeah yer using way too much, and hair can't respond that quick to treatment stoppage.Maybe switch to something else stronger.

I know it sounds impossible, but I think it is due to the fact that about a half inch section of my hairline is thinning all at once. I will be posting some pics later to illustrate this. Throughout just the 4 months I've been using DNC-L, you can see it has been quite a rollercoaster ride. Sometimes my hairline trails from my sideburns up, sometimes it extends beyond a half inch or so. The hairs are always there, they're just thinning and thickening back and forth. This is why I am so hesitant to use less.

Kirklands is just another brand of minoxidil.

I got results in my front and temples but only after i used Alot
Like a bottle last me around 9 days... applying 2x a day

I tried using a little but it just felt like i wasnt getting proper coverage and optimal absorption.

anyone know where i can get it cheaper than 44.95 for the lotion and 35.95 for the spray?

I use the dropper

put .5 ml on hair line and temples and also half of my parting
then put another .5ml on crown area and sorta spread it all over,

then from my hearline i just start slicking my hair back and rubbing it all over my head.

I also only use it once per day, at night, an hour before bed. Been doing that with the combination of revita every morning, and occasionaly using nizoral 2% and nano shampoo.

If you do this, the bottole will last nearly 2 months.

Started this nearly 2 months ago and my hair is looking good. Though too early to say i know. but i definitly hardly have much hairfall anymore. Ordered another bottle \m/

I am seeing maintenance and saw some slight growth/filling-in especially early on in treatments, but I do use quite a bit. I've tried using less and after a month or so I could see it thinning out again so I am forced to use more.

Yeah I saw some great results in my opinion on Spectral DNC-L on the hairline after about the first 1-2 months. You can check out my results here:

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=57645

Honestly I don't feel like the finasteride is doing anything at all for me personally. My hairline has been receeding normally the entire time I've been on finasteride and only after I started Spectral DNC-L did it start to stabilize.

The drawbacks: The bottle is very small, and like some users on here have agreed, it is easy to use quite a bit and go through the bottles very quickly, therefore it can be very expensive.

that's good.

i think i'll keep up with spectral dnc to see the results in some months.

i think it's the only real good treatment outthere despite of minoxidil.
