Spectral DNC-L: Questions and Concerns

Hola. Just started Spectral DNC-L today in hopes of replacing Rogaine Foam along my hairline. Very excited to say that after the first application I already seem to be experiencing some sides. My skin along the hairline and below is now a bright red just an hour or so after applying... Also felt like I was applying cool menthol Vick's Vapor Rub to my hairline. It didn't burn, per se... Just a cool, deep penetrating feel that persisted for roughly a half hour or so.

Very pleased to find out that my twice-as-expensive replacement for Rogaine Foam immediately appears to be causing some problems.

Anyone else experienced symptons like this? Should I continue, drop it like it's hot, or what? Also: I was given this like 40-page booklet with the Spectral that's just filled with speculative data supposedly proving the efficacy of this product.... Yet within those 40 pages I can't find a single note on application use or possible sides.

I did alot of research into Spectral as i contemplated using it

Thing is, you need to have full confidence in this stuff - can you honestly envisage you using stuff that does that for the rest of your life?

I know the former version stained your skin but hadn't heard much about -L but given its ridiculously expensive i wasnt going to risk it

ill say it again - nanominox definately appears to be the best minoxidil topical out there. cleanest and best ingredients - atleast in theory.

I've been using this over 8 weeks now and no side effects at all.

Only thing I would say is that absorption into the skin is much higher and this could mean increased side effects in certain individuals.

I do not experience any tingling or any other as you mentioned above. I am growing hair from it but not thick hair. Some of the thinning hairs have thickened up but still not enough to be noticeable. I am only using this for the temple only.

As for staining skin? None. All this means that you have not massaged it into the skin enough or you are adding too much.

Finally, if you plan to apply onto wet hair, do not apply too much. Wet skin increases more absorption of minoxidil!

How much do you apply along your hairline?

Does anyone else here use Spectral DNC-L on the hairline? What do you think?

I wish they mentioned on the packaging how to properly apply this product. I always feel like I'm putting on too little or too much.

And yeah, it does stain my scalp a bright yellow until its washed off. Looks really bad. I have to remove the yellow line from just before my hairline before I go out.

The amount you use depends on the hairloss. As it is for the temple of the hairline, one pump on the applicator is enough. You also must massage it fully and gently until the yellow colour disappears.

If you still have yellow staining, it means you have used too much and definitely have not massaged it enough.
