Spectoral DNC minoxidil opinions, compared with Kirkland (cheap) minoxidil

Hi all,

I've been battling hairloss since 2002, with success using the big 3 initially. I was 22 then, 32 now. The big three gave me a little regrowth and maintenance up to the present day. I had a 1800 graft transplant in 2009, stopped using Nizoral 2% and started using minoxidil once a day for 3/4 days of the week.

If I have lost some of my natural hair since then it's not that noticeable.

I only use minoxidil quite sparingly these days so I'm thinking about splashing out a bit more and upgrading to Spectoral DNC, which I always liked the look of, but not the price, compared to the cheapness of Kirkland minoxidil, and minoxidil is the main ingrediant after all, but as a bottle would last a good while i'm thinking about trying it out.

The company clearly do there research on hairloss, and a lot of the ingrediants added have been ones used by the more experimental/scientific posters of the forum over the years, and i've always believed in an holistic appraoch to fighting hairloss, DHT supression, inflammation, and growth stimulants.

Anyway on to the point of this thread, What's the opinions of you fine people who have used this product, what do you have to say for yourselves? Worth the time, or don't waste my time? - anyone that has moved from bog standard minoxidil to Spectoral DNC ???

What say you?

Hi bud, I tried the spectral dhp formula and it was awful, haven't tried the spectral DNC but the price is pretty expensive, in the UK its £27 for a single bottle....its worth trying I suppose especially if you don't see too much happening with rogaine or Kirkland, remember though you need to be on something that will stop DHT working as well for any minoxidil to work fully, I was looking at lipogaine as well, so I will probably give both these ago for a few months each and see if anything happens.

Yeh i'm on propecia for ten years, price of DNC is not great, but I really like the look of the ingredients.

Lipogaine's a new one on me, been away from checking the boards for a few years.

Just looked it up, it's a shampoo...always thought shampoos were a bit over-rated, but looking at this one it has ketoconazole, main ingredient of nizoral, plus some other good looking stuff. Looks quite similar to Revita shampoo.

I still sometimes use Emu oil, good to apply ten or so minites after minoxidil, increases absorption and is a great anti inflammatory with lots of Vit E in it. The derma roller was good for use too, but I stopped using despite some initial positive results.

Well im going to go with lipogaine as spectral minoxidil is just not in my price range right now, so expensive and one bottle never lasts a month with me...more like 2 weeks.

Been using this stuff once a day five days a week. It's quite greasy because of the emu oil, but it makes the hair shine, and smells nice. It's an orange color, again probably because of the emu oil. Way to early to tell anything, but i have noticed no ill effects, or puffy eyes etc

Both have similar ingredients, but for me Spectoral DNC has emu oil and copper peptides, which I have used before seperately, it always managed to make my scalp feel great and get rid of any inflammation, which often overlooked by hairloss sufferers.
