I'm 21 and have diffuse thinning in a relatively narrow line from front to back with recession at the temples. No one really notices (except for the recession, but that's on all sides of my family so it's nothing bad really), but I'm curious as to if there's anything I can do to slow it/keep it another couple years. I bought some Nizoral and started using that, but I'm curious about adding Tricomin and Revivogen (despite its dubious nature) to help with things. I'm not really interested in Propecia simply because of the side-effects and the unknown implications of someone that's my age taking something originally formulated for prostate situations, I'd certainly rather be bald than risk complications from such a medication. As for Rogaine, I don't have time for a twice a day application, or for my hair to look greasy... I'm a grad student in English, working at a law firm, and working on two new records, and I don't really have the convenience of such a regimen. Any suggestions?

Hey, I'm in a similar situation.

I went with 2% spironolactone, 5% Xandrox, 1% Nizoral & AC Revitalize Spray.

I think that you shoudn't be put off by minoxidil, I promise you that you will have time for applications. Xandrox dries fairly quickly, so you should be able to do your hair with it in the mornings.

Good luck.

Does the minoxidil really make your face puffy? I really wouldn't enjoy that.

Not for me it doesn't. If it does, you can stop.

Okay... so here's what I think my regimen will be:
Dr. Lee's minoxidil (5%)
Nizoral
American Crew Rev. Spray
(Tricomin?)

Tricomin is pretty expensive and I don't know if it would really be worth it... American Crew seems to have the same sort of ingredients.

I've been using the American Crew version and I do like the spell of it. I can't say that it works because I've only been using it like a week now, but it does help a little with the itching from the minoxidil. I buy it because of the price, so I think it's pretty good.

I am worried about minoxidil puffing out my face...Is there anyway to find out if it is doing so....I have been using it for a week and I already feel my face is puffy...But I know the mind plays tricks....

So is there a certain way to find out ?
