For those of you who have followed my threads throughout the past three years you may know that I had excellent results on dutasteride/finasteride. Unfortunately, about two and a half years into my treatment my sides became too much (impotence and gyno) and I quit using the treatment.

Update: I have been off dutasteride since June of 2005. I am still impotent and have no desire for sex. Once again IMPOTENT. How this effected my life? Lets just say "game over" Could this happen to you? Hell yeah it could happen to you. Fair warning to everyone here. Most of the people here preaching that their junk still works while on finasteride have only been on it for a very short amount of time, not years. Don't end up like me alone and miserable with the barrel of pistol at your temple everynight; unfortunately I have a parents and a brother to think about so pulling the trigger is still hard...its getting easier though. Once again fair warning folks.

I've been on propecia for over 4 years now, and no sides. Not like a get laid, but it does work. I think though if I didn't lift weight, I might have moobs, I'm not sure.. But right now I have pecs because I lift.

ugh i think you dont have a hot wife or girlfriend. I'm not joking or throlling. A lot of couples loose their sexual desire because of the partner cause some nausea.

I'm kind of with you on this ugh.... although I'm not completely impotent.
Stay the hell away from dutasteride.... and even take it easy on the finasteride IMO (if you're gonna use it... keep your doses low or apply it topically)

I'm popping aphrodisiac tablets (WYLD for men) like they're going out of fashion, also tribulus and am taking Harie's suggestion of rebound reloaded (which increases your testosterone) to try and disolve my gyno tits and get my sex drive back.....

Tamoxiphen did nothing to help my gyno.

Whilst I can still get it up and manually make myself c*m (can't do it though sex as the old fella now goes limp mid way) the volume of my sperm is like 1/8th what it used to be and I swear that my nuts have gotten smaller!!

Previously used to have the sex drive of a p**rn star and could go knock the top off 3-4 times a day without a hassle.
Now I can sit in front of a porno movie.... not get excited unless I force myself to and it takes me forever to get even a tiny squirt out! (am lucky if I can do this 2 times a week.... literally couldn't fill a teaspoon with the pathetic amount now).

I'm very fit... have bugger all body fat and go to gym 3 times a week.

I get my hormone tests back next week... will probably have to take some other prescription drug now to get them back to normal levels....

If you're going to use one of these two drugs.... do it under the supervision of a doctor and get regular hormone tests....

not trying to be a scare monger.... just offering my advice and telling my story to those who are desperate like I was for a fix to hair loss but may not know the consequences....

That's why i said that i think you dont have. Without a girl that we like in physical terms we cant get sexual desire.

Now, I usually don't think it's a good idea to encourage fear like this, but I really think the people who say "don't b**ch about sides, you won't get them, they're just in your head" should read this.

Have you gone to see a doctor? Have you had your hormone levels checked? If it's been a year off dutasteride and you still have ED & no libido, go to the freaking doctor!

A simple hormone check will tell you way more than you know now.

Some possible problems are:
Low testosterone - testosterone injections
High Prolactin - Something like Cabaser or other prolactin lowering agents
Low DHEA - DHEA supplementation
Low LH - possibly Tribulus (shy guy's LH Levels increased on Trib :))
Low Zinc levels - leads to low test levels - Zinc supplementation

If your estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, total testosterone, free testosterone, LH, prolactin and cortisol levels are normal, then it's probably in your head.

Outside possibility is that you need to see a chiropractor. I've heard many stories from chiro's I know that said they cured men of ED by spinal manipulation.

ugh, have you been able to get rid of your gyno? If so, how did you do it?
I've got puffy nipps that are making my life a living nightmare. Any help would be great.

Getting rid of gyno was easy...just shell out $5,300 to a plastic surgeon. Its what I did.

Sorry to hear about your situation, is probably one of the most extreme stories I've read. To be fair though.. it seems reactions like this are pretty rare.

That's what I was afraid of. Is surgery really the only way to get rid of gyno? $5,300.00? Jesus, that money could have gone towards a nice hair transplant instead. Has anyone at all been able to reverse their gyno without surgery? I really need your help.
