Howdy guys. Im new here and new to the world of hair replacement. I've been shaving my head for about 20 years or so. I've never really considered a hair system until i starting watching Curtis from HME on youtube. The pieces he wears look very good and very realistic. I think he has a deal with Top Lace , but i could be wrong.

I live an extremely active life. My work is also very active. I work outside and it gets very hot and humid here , so i would be sweating a lot. I really like the .3 thin skin Curtis wears , but i know there is prob no way i could pull that off in the conditions i would be dealing with day in and day out. I'm not really looking for an expose hair line per say , but i wouldn't mind showing it off every now and again. I would like something that looks very natural , but at the same time stand up to a beating in the heat and high activity . Someone recommended a swiss lace , so that it could breathe. They also went on to say i could have a pretty nice hairline with that as well.

Would love to hear everyones thoughts on type of system, type of glue and tape for high activity and heat. Thanks and take care.

I also had shaved for 20 or so years before my jump, no regrets.
I suggest swiss lace for breathability. I find the super tape or ultrahold works well in heat, humid environment.
I put tape on side, back and top for my swiss lace unit. Front hairline i use ghostbond or ultrahold glue, but you need to let the first day without water, sweat, etc.. not sure if that is possible ( day off?)

Curtis now deals directly with a factory in China and does not re-sell Toplace pieces. He used to have a discount with them.

Thin skin is not for active people who perspire a lot. You need lace. I disagree with the Swiss lace, as I found it too fine. I prefer French lace, stronger, lasts longer, and is breathable.

I do a tape bond, exclusively, and I could probably go for two weeks (I REALLY perspire from my head, a lot), but like to remove every week.

When I exposed my hairline, I did what @AxC123 does. However, I used a contoured hairline tape about 1.5 cm behind the hairline and only used a small strip of glue. The tape holds a bit better, which helps resist lifting. The clean up is easier, also.
