It's insane, I just have so much dandruff and dry flakey sh*t on my head.
I feel like its the main cause of my hairfall. I'm a diffuse thinner with no receeding hairline whatsoever. Not sure how common that is with male pattern baldness, but regardless, I have got to do something about this stuff. I cannot stop itching !
I've tried nizoral 2%, it only made it worse. They dont sell nizoral 1% here where I live, but i'm not sure how much different it would be. I've tried head and shoulders, clear, etc. Nothing seems to work !

I think people on this site would know better than my dermotologist himself, so if someone has any tips, please help.
Any home remedies, anything at all.
Thank you in advance

How soon after starting nizoral did your symptoms worsen? How long after your symptoms worsened did you continue taking nizoral? Fungal infections (seborrheic dermatitis), if set in real well can actually worsen in intensity in the beginning of treatment before things finally start to get under control. I'm not sure of the exact method but one of the most damaging parts of a fungal infection is the toxins and by products the cells produce. When you start treating the infection the cells start decaying releasing more toxins en masse into your system.

The important part in such a case is to realize that this means most likely that the treatment is actually working and to continue the treatment till quite a while after the symptoms finally abate. Personally I would recommend getting back on nizoral and continuing treatment for a while. Alternatively there are other fungal products which may have some effect on your infection such as the anti-fungal products developed for athlete's foot or vaginal yeast infections, some people on these boards have reported some relief from miconazole (lotramin) but since it seems like you already responded to nizoral you should probably just stick with that.

Additionally you'll probably want to limit your consumption of sugars while doing treatment as high consumption of sugars can worsen fungal flareups. No need to make things worse while you're trying to make them better. Getting in some good exercise each day should help make sure your circulation is running well and helping to process those toxins.

Oh, another option I forgot to mention is the flea and tick medicine "Program" for dogs. Yes I know it sounds weird and potentially dangerous, but the medicine is actually inert in mammals and only affects organisms that require chitin (like fungi). It's an over the counter medicine you can buy at most pet stores with no toxicity to humans so you could technically eat the whole box in one day and nothing negative would happen. It's fat soluble so eat it with a meal loaded with fats to try and ensure decent absorption. You'll want to split the tabs and take them over the course of 4-5 weeks with slightly more frequent dosing in the beginning than the end.

Combine this with any of the options mentioned above and you'll notice results.
