Okay, I have been affected by male pattern baldness for 5 years and fighting it for 4 (after 1 year of denial), and thorought all of my trials and tribulations I can attest to a few positive things...

First of all, if you withstand the side affects of Rogaine 5% (if you get them, I get none), and can stay on application schedule, your crown will never go bald. (That having said you attack it at an early stage).

Saw palmetto when used seasonally, will thicken and make a healthier look of your existing hair. (May not work for everyone).

Nizoral DOES relieve itching, it's not a myth.

Other than this, the rest of male pattern baldness problems happen to be a total un-ending nightmare. Hairlines are like HIV patients who have a fate, but it's actual culmination is undetermined due to the slow-down of medicines and chemicals. Side effects are inevitable, and the inner depression these things may bring can be dangerous.

Aside from these points, you can look forward to sticking to the positive things in life, otherwise you may find yourself overwhelmed in an array of mood killers and self-esteem destroyers.

This is Hairybush roaming around as a different account because the old one got screwed up.

Nice to hear an old voice around again but a I havent been around here much either. I stopped taking all my meds months ago. My hair looks the same now as it did than, which many say is just fine.

I feel really good about my decision to stop ingesting and applying the drugs, because my body and health means more to me than my hair.

Anyway, best of luck. you sound like you have a good attitude about it all.
