some results with finasteride but should I switch to dutasteride.

I been on finasteride for 1 1/2 years I am 44 years old and have maintained with finasteride but not alot of regrowth( also the big 3) I was thinking of switching to dutasteride. but worried of losing hair I maintained. Do you think this might happen and is it time to switch to dutasteride. Very anxious to try dutasteride. but don't want to lose any results I got from finasteride.

its very possible, because you might react to different drugs differently. i think if your still maintaining with finasteride and above baseline there is no need to rush to dutasteride. save dutasteride for when finasteride starts to bring you below baseline and you have no other options. dutasteride should be like your emergency break only use if all else fails. at 44 maintenances all i think you will see even with dutasteride if your hair has been lost for a good 5 or more years. maintenance is as much as success as regrowth.
