hey,
I'm 24 years old and have noticed hair loss since 18. i have been using finasteride for about 7 months now. I still seem to have hair loss although it is a lot less. when my hair falls out there is always a little white chunk at the end. What is this? Also, if a hair falls out and it is pretty thick, will it definitely grow back? I still have pretty good coverage and this would make it hard to use minoxidil unless if i shave my head again....is it worth it? Thanks!

The white bulb is normal (I'm not crystal on exactly what it is, so someone else can jump in). If a hair falls out and is thick, yes, it will grow back. Even if its thin, it will grow back. The only real question is if it will grow back thicker or thinner. If you have good coverage, dont worry about minoxidil. Sounds like youre doing fine. Good luck.
