re:

No one with male pattern baldness goes from nothing on the norwood scale to a Norwood-3 in a week. Situations like this may happen but the hair loss is not caused by male pattern baldness, I just don't buy it and no medical journal recognizes this as appropriate.
I guess it is a somewhat interesting conversational item, but who cares what group (diffuse or receeders) respond to finasteride. It is the only FDA and medically proven treatment for male pattern baldness and if one feels the reward outweighs the risk then they will take it and hope for the best. The back and forth on this argument has run its course in my mind. If you are responder then it should help in some way, that's it.
Aplunk, where are the photos documenting your change from perfect hair to a Norwood-1.5 thinner? Making derogatory (or overally positive) statements screams for a line of evidence for everyone to see. If your situaiton is true then this is information that is usefull to those using and/or deciding to use finasteride. My results are average and someday I will grow the balls to show them off but if I got either really bad or really good results then I would certainly share them in order to either try to figure out why my hair was a mess or to let people know that there is hope.

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures about a year ago. I should have.

Return, I know that my pics are difficult to distinguish anything, but that's all I really have right now, and I'll be upgrading soon enough to a better webcam which should do the job. It's better than having nothing.

Johnny, I really hope that the information I post is taken for what it is, and hopefully useful to some. I don't have pictures showing my hair since beginning Propecia in January, 2005 and ending in December, 2005, but my hair was significantly worse than baseline.

I do feel there is hope out there, and, for most, Propecia is the best option. I don't think I responded very well, at all, to say the least. I don't intend to create "derogatory" or "overally positive" remarks, simply my experiences with Propecia.

I hope clarifies a few things.
