For a drug to be released on the market 10-15
years of testing and retesting must precede.

So if a new efficient drug for Androgenetic Alopecia will be available
in 10 years, now at least it's patent should be applied
or some clinical phase I trials should have started

I haven't heard anything new. Are we stuck with
Dutasteride indefinitelly?
(How are the Phase III trials?)

Have you heard something guys?
Hope is the only thing that keeps me fighting

I could be wrong but I believe it took Merck 3-4 years to get Propecia through testing and the FDA. Previous experience with Proscar had to have helped somewhat.

These companies have to complete all of their own clinical trials before they go to the FDA. Who knows what they are working on currently.

As for dutasteride phase III, I think it's still on hold.
