Hi all.
Great site! I'm 30 years old and have been pretty much balding since I was 21. At the moment I do have hair but it's extremely fine, most people just assume I'm bald.
I noticed it almost 10 years ago when instead of spiking my hair as I'd normally done, I just put it flat one day and noticed the disturbingly large bald spot on my crown. Since then my hair has thinned out quite extensively from back to front. At the moment I have a very tenuous hairline but again, most people can't see it. Initally I tried Mane (the spray-on stuff) but that was too much of a hassle so I gave up.
For years I just shaved my head and got on with life, even appearing on a Channel 4 documentary called "Bald" (occasionally shown on Descovery Science too) saying how I didn't mind the hairloss, I'd just accepted it.
However recently I bumped in to another user of this site whose hair recovery was nothing short of miraculous.
This motivated me in to wanting to try it for myself.
I've been advised to obtain a prescription from my doctor for Propecia and to use Regaine alongside it.
I'm aware that if I do see any results then it's not likely to be much sooner than 4 to 6 months away and I know I shouldn't expect long flowing locks.
Can anyone give me any advice that I should be aware of on my intended course of action? Money is a bit tight so I'm not too keep on flashing the cash if I can help it.
TIA
