SODs Questions

I've kind of asked these questions before indirectly, but haven't gotten any real responses so I will now ask them directly:

1. Given that both NANO / Prox-N and Minoxidil are said to work to increase levels of cellular nitric oxide, is there any point using NANO / Prox-N in place of Minoxidil, given that it is clear I am not a responder to Minoxidil?

2. Is there any point using NANO / Prox-N (which is a SOD) in addition to Procyte forumla Cu peptides (which is also a SOD)?

Thanks in advance

i tried a different angle rather than two or three lots of cps but i suppose it depends on how much time and money youve got. ac spray and nano i might go for but probably not all three.

i havent responded to minoxidil either - been on it about 18 months. i just use it to thicken my hair now.

I have been using both finasteride and minoxidil for over 4.5 years. My hair has maintained, but at no stage have I seen any regrowth. I've used Rogaine liquid, pharmacy made 7%, Spectral DNC, Min Agent and Rogaine Foam, I have not seen regrowth with any. However, I don't want to discontinue use completely in case the minoxidil has provided some maintenance benefits or very minor cosmetic results.

I also currently use AC (old forumla) Cu peptides before my night time minoxidil applications.

So, with all that in mind - answers?

Thanks,

minoxidil is proven, so stick with it. The available SODs/Copper Peptides we have are questionable. If I had to pick one I guess I would pick Tricomin because of the phase 2 FDA trials, but the commercially available product is weaker than the tested version they used.

Prox-N is another good choice because it has more than SODs in it, but it is ridiculously expensive for the amount you get and is once again of questionable efficacy due to lack of studies.

My advice would be to add Tricomin to the mix IF you are set on adding an SOD/CP.

Are you using anything else besides finasteride and minoxidil? I would likely give a topical antiandrogen and Nizoral 2% a shot before adding a copper peptide.

Thanks for the reply, JWM.

My current regimen consists of:

finasteride (1.25mg/day), Min (Foam morning, Spectral DNC night), Procyte formula American Crew Cu peptides (~1ml/day), alternating Revita and MIN shampoos, laserbrush (three time/week).

So I take it your opinion is that using Prox-N, though horribly expensive, is superior to using just Cu peptides as it contains more than SODs?

I haven't tried any topical anti-androgens yet... spironolactone appears to be the topical anti-androgen of choice?

Essentially, I'm trying to keep my "morning Regimen" as light as possible. At the moment, it's just using Rogaine Foam, popping my finasteride pill and then styling. However, I do now think I need to think about something to replace one of my Minoxidil applications since I'm not a responder... Perhaps a topical anti-androgen is the way to go...

I would keep doing what you're doing and add a topical AA like 5% spironolactone before bed.

Good luck!
