Just had my hair cut so I can style it to hide my receding hairline! Im liking it. Anyway I have slapped a load of gel in the fringe and side of my hairline so you guys can check it out. Im thinking I'm nw3 on one side and nw2 on the other. My barber who is a great barber said He thinks I'm not going to start properly receding until I hit my 40's. I'm 27 now. He said My hairline is quite thick and the have loads of hair on top. I can see it is receding though I personly feel like I will be nw4 on both sides by 30 if it keeps going at this rate. I'll out some pictures up and then I'll put one up of me a year or two ago and then one of me at 22 years old and then 19 and then one how I hide my receding hairline with my new haircut. I know I am still lucky to have the HAIR I have BUT I am still receding so I dont think it's unfair for me to post.

NW2 max. Daniel Day-Lewis is an NW3, do you really believe your hairline is that recessed?

did you come here just to taunt us?

you have an incredibly thick head of hair with a mature hairline but not the slightest sign of crown thinning (which would be a strong indicator of male pattern baldness) . If I had your hair I wouldn't even be on this site!

let's hope UCman doesn't see this thread! :woot:

Its strange because I have posted on here before, QC you yourself said I should think about finasteride, I was advised by irishfella to get on finasteride also. Admin also said I should consider finasteride.... Just different pictures. I'm not taunting anyone. I do have male pattern baldness. Have any of you looked at the pictures of my dad? The speed his male pattern baldness kicked in was crazy. I am to afraid to get on finasteride I will admit it. I do know my own body though. I have miniaturized hairs on my hair line. Finely inspecting about and inch into my hairline while parting I also have hairs that are thinner than the rest and only half growing. I have hairs falling out in the shower that are thick at the top of the shaft and thinner near the root. Not all men loose hair on their crown when they have male pattern baldness. Ok yea losing it there would suck but receding is also not a great thing. Its my gentetics. My hair is the same as my dads. I never knew this before because he had hardly any pics but my nan has dug loads out and its scary how much I look like him and my hair is the same. It's against me. Im sire some of you were ok one year and then BOOM it hit you? I think it's unfair that I get excluded because I have quite a bit of hair atm. I just want to talk about it as I am trying to accpet it but I guess you're only welcome here if you;re in the advanced stages of male pattern baldness. Guess I'll see you all in a years time.

no I was joking partly -I'm not UCman and yes catching it early is definetely key. But why are you too scared to use finasteride? if you're sure you have male pattern baldness then that's really the only way to 'catch it early'. I wish I had started finasteride 2 years earlier

Dude get on finasteride as soon as possible if you want to save the hair you have at the moment. You are clearly receding but at a very slow rate, consider yourself lucky.
