So What Do You Guys Advise With My Velocity Of Hair Loss? Can I Just Save Myself With minoxidil?

You can either go on finasteride, which will probably just maintain and show slight regrowth or you can go on other regimens which can legitimately show significant regrowth! And for some individuals, finasteride eventually stops working and you're back at square one.

Although, the more hair you gain the more side effects you will possibly get. It would be a shame if you went bald, especially since you have such a beautiful hair colour... With some of these regimens, you are risking your 'masculinity' though (especially the more extreme ones)... But, we don't live in a perfect world so sometimes you have to take risks to have what you want.
brutal sh*t my man. for me now the dilemma is between minoxidil and finasteride. im not gona go on spironolactone for sure, mb duta, but less likely.
kinda sweating if i start minoxidil applications, i will get that initial shed and i will legit look bald irl

It just depends on the person, personally I value my hair more than anything so I will literally use any medication which regrows hair successfully.

In your case, though, I would not use minoxidil - there's something about creating dependant hairs which makes me feel uneasy. The best option is to just use finasteride, I guess.

I'm 18. My hair loss was sparked from a severe eating disorder, so it's a combination of Telogen Effluvium and AA. I would say my hair loss is similar to yours. My hairline is currently an NW1.5, though.

My planned regimen will be spironolactone and estradiol, as that is proven to show significant regrowth. I'm going to put in my best efforts into getting myself back to an NW0 or NW0.5.

You can mention NW1.5 and my age all you want, but there is something called diffuse thinning which predominantly occurs within Asian / Middle Eastern men. It's severe enough for my dermatologist to tell me it's one of the worst cases of diffuse thinning she has seen for someone who is 18

It's a planned regimen because I am fearless of side effects, and it is has strong evidence to back up its effectiveness. I have already ordered the medications, and will be speaking to my dermatologist about it so I can actually get it on prescription.

At least I am doing something about it, rather than waiting till I am older when I am almost bald like my half brothers.

OP just f*****g start finasteride man.. you're complaning in almost every thread about how bad life is treating you and what shitty beta genetics you got. If you want to be alpha, start making decisions in life and stick with them no matter what like all alphas do

crying all the time about your hair loss and pussying about medications won't give you your hair back nor will make you happy in the long run..

He's gonna be a big bald pussy cuz he doesn't have the guts for anything. Not for taking finasterde, not for facing his life and genetics. Truly pathetic.

From the pictures it appears to be diffused thinning in a NW6 pattern however, this doesn't mean that's what's going on. Have you checked with a dermatologist or physician to rule out other problems which can cause hair loss? I ask because it's diffused and it can be something simple as a chronic form of telogen effluvium. Are the sides and back of your hair diffused the same as your top? Rule out everything first because if you are predisposed to male pattern baldness and don't know, a chronic form of telogen effluvium will certainly accelerate the loss pattern. Also know that this form of hair loss cannot be treated with Minoxidil or 5AR Inhibitors which is why I say rule out everything first.

yeah, thats the thing, i suspect i might have telogen efluvium, because even sides of my head thinned out and back as well, pretty much all over, but mostly when i run my hand through the hair, only hair on top falls out badly

how do i diagnose telog efluvium? from what i read on web, i can be kick started by severe stress, which did take place on number occasions, but it says the condition shud stop and hair shud grow back in some time

Its very unlikely do develop gyno man. Hopefully you respond well to finasteride, nobody wants to look like a bald cuck at such a young age.

Your problem is male pattern baldness not Telogen Effluvium. Everyone thinks they have Telogen Effluvium but people dont realize how rare it is for men to get.

There is the hair pull test, blood work, and a scalp biopsy which is more invasive, but will give you a decisive answer of the form of loss you have.

Telogen Effluvium isn't that rare for a man to get, in comparison to a woman it may look like it since they have a higher chance due to having more reasons to have it e.g. postpartum hair loss. There just has to be a valid reason to have it, not dumb reasons like stress.
