So starting on hairloss meds again

Hello there!

I was on 0,5mg propecia(1mg was too expensive), rogaine and nizoral shampoo for 3 years and maintained what I had and also my hairline got a lot thicker. (I'm only receeding, not balding on temple area ... yet).


I stopped the meds after moving to a new country and my current meds ran out.
I just went to the doctor today and tried asking for a prescription to proscar, but only got propecia.

I haven't followed the hairlosstalk forums for years now. Is there anything new, or is it still propecia+rogaine+nizoral?

And if the propecia I got a prescription for is too expensive (haven't picked it up yet therefore don't know the price), is generic propecia as good? And if it is, where do you recommend I'd buy it?

The nizoral I'll buy at the drugstore, but what about minoxidil? I used to buy kirkland, since rogaine was too expensive. Should I again buy kirkland, or is there a better alternative?

I live in Denmark btw, so if some other european could get me up to date where he gets his cheap/good hairloss meds from that would be great

Indeed, Propecia is expensive especially for a collage student like myself. Theoretically, the generic versions has the same active ingredient, therefore, it should work the same. However some guys on these forums have reported loosing grounding when switching to generics even from a trusted source. Others say it worked the same. The pharmacies in your area may or may not carry the generics; I only get Proscar in my area. If this is the case and the price is a concern, you'll have to get the generics from an online pharmacy. Be careful and do your research on the pharmacy before you buy from them. In terms of payment, look for ones that accept bank drafts/wire transfer or you can use a VISA gift card (This method may not always work so talk to your bank first)
In terms of legitimacy, use tools like scam adviser - http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website (Stay away from the ones tested to be 'High Risk')
Inhouse pharmacy seems to get a good rating from scam adviser

Again, Kirkland and Rogaine has the same active ingredient, therefore, suppose to give the same results. Most guys on these forums say kirkland works just as good.

To answer your first question, I'm relatively new to hairloss but some of the other treatments across these forums includes RU-58841, Topical spironolactone, Avodart (Dutasteride)
