My hair is very fine in texture at 27 years of age with a mature hair line. No sign of it receding. I've always been worried about losing it since my father is completely bald at 59. He started losing his hair in the early twenties and by the time he was my age, he had quite the NW3 almost 4. By the time he reached his mid-thirties, it was a NW5.

If I was to inherit his hair loss gene, would I have already started to lose it?

If I were to have hair similar to a certain family member, would I thin out similarly to them?

You might have inheritance someone else's pattern. There's no way to tell.

Thats what I thought. Most of the men in my family have been alright in the hair loss department except of my Dad. He lost it pretty quick. Thankfully, he never really cared about having hair. He likes being bald.
