So Is 0.5 Mg The Same As 1mg Of Finas?

Its just that its kind of pricey from walmart...will half be as effective as full dose of finasteride? My Doctor wont prescribe the 5mg version

or buy proscar and cut it in 4 pieces to get 1.25 mg, might be better money wise
