I have a bunch of Fincar and I'd like to start using it, however, I want to start with less than 1mg, like 0.5mg.

Anyone have experience with splitting up Fincar into 8ths? It's supposed to work as good as 1mg but with less sides.

Thanks.

just go ahead and try cutting it. No need to me accurate down to the microgram, or even 10th of a milligram.

I do 1/4s and use scissors to cut it. Try a razor blade it should cut right through it.

It looks like you started your regimen not too long ago. Any sides? Results?

I'm also just starting fincar and I'm trying to start at around .2-.25 mg, just to paranoidly err on the side of safety. I've been crushing it and splitting up the powder, but it's pretty inaccurate. Anybody know how important it is to maintain a consistent dose? (I've heard some people even take a 1mg. every other day)

i don't know how effective it would be to take doses every other day cause the halflife is relatively short. I think whatever you do, it should be consistent on a daily basis. I have read several posts that anywhere around .5mg is about as effective as 1mg though.

I bit the bullet and ordered 1mg Finpecia from Inhouse. I didn't wanna deal with splitting and all that BS. If I split, it'll just be one clean one down the middle.

People say they take a pill every other day because the half life is around 3 days, they say, and they think a (regularly) inconsistent dosage may help in preventing tolerance developing for the drug.

in my oppinion it is better to take finasteride 3 weeks daily and after this time stop it for 1 week and so on

..so if it is real that the half life is 3 days it should be better to hold your body longer on a low dht-level as in a no broken time.
