Got my prescription filled incorrectly, gave me the 1mg tabs after taking 5mg for 10+ years. Cut into quarters without noticing (yes, the color was different, duh!) and then began to notice thinning after two months. Just got back on correct 1.25mg but praying hair comes back that was lost. Anyone have a similar story with end result? Thickening again? Bottom line: 1.25 finasteride works, don't shortchange dose!

I had no idea that .25mg would make such a difference, to the point of shedding.
The body recognizes the difference between 1.25 & 1.00???

Damn bruh, having a high affinity for DHT receptors in the scalp sucks!

Good luck.

From studies, I'm pretty sure the difference between .25 and .50 is way more than from 1.00 and 1.25 or .75 to 1.00. I think the study showed .50/.75 limited DHT about as much as 1.25.

So I switched back about 2.5 weeks ago and I'm already noticing thicker hair, loads of those little white guys popping all over. This little mistake proving definitively that this stuff positively works.
