So Can Vellus Hair Become Terminal Hair?

I have thick white miniture hair around my temple points. The treatment made them thick around the NW2 line but is that just body hair and different from scalp hair? Or could it become actual hair a year from now?

How reasonable is it to expect it to turn terminal? A++ responder to treatments.

My Norwood 2.5 line has darkened and grows a quater inch.

Ok i have what i would consider vellus hair that looks too becoming terminal at the very peaks (maybe 50 each side), the rest is colorless but thicker then my forehead hair by far. I bet using my 0.5 dermaroller could make the difference but its such a hassle. I wont hold my breathe then.

Allow me to show you what happened when I started oral minoxidil. I will show you my hair before hairloss, the recession, and yesterday (sorry for the crappy quality). I regrew my hairline in areas that had become totally hairless. In short, yes you can reverse miniturisation, HOWEVER it is very hard to do in areas like temples and vertex for men, or the top of the head for women. I have never been able to regrow hair on top of my head, and overall my hair is the thinnest it’s ever been. I just know that time and time again I have regrow hairs that have miniturised, so I know it’s possible. I hope you have better luck than me.

Histogen claims that it will grow back vellus hair, even though the treatment only lasts for
one hair growth cycle (2 - 5 years (white)), or 3 - 7 years (Asian).

Why a 0.5 dermaroller?

I thought the length was 1.5 mm?

@Georgie, what size dermaroller do you use?

I'm doing one millimeter every other day, and using high strength topical solutions on it.

Still, only getting very few terminal hairs (hairline only).

It's funny, I have hair like Jonah Hill (when I over wash it every day).

Yet, I miss those days when I had an Afro.

Oh well, these days, I dream about having a SEX ORGY WITH IVANKA AND MELINIA TRUMP.

Tell me @Articom, would rather sleep with Ivanka, or Melinia?

I'll give you links if you want.

I read 1.5 no more then once every two weeks or else your scalp gets too damaged.

I think it depends how deep you are going. When I derma roll I bleed slightly...I actually have been using it as a stamp, pushing it in everywhere because I have enough hair where it gets caught. I use it maybe once every two weeks but every week is still fine...you heal from the micro tears in the skin within 24-48hrs---you are not causing major skin damage.

I am not sure how useful it really is. Theoretically it would be useful as it attracts growth factors and breaks down fibrosis, increases blood flow, increases collagen production, etc. It was good on my face for my nasolabial folds. We just have that one Minoxidil study that shows it was great but nobody seems to get as good of results as that study.

Woa bro im not a doctor. If the general consensus is ok, id like to use a 1.5 weekly. I never bleed unless i shove that sucker in.

I use 1.5mm weekly and 0.5mm sometimes in between and on the face just for extra absorption

See I use 1mm. The problem is different sites recommend different lengths.

I've even seen as small as 0.5 mm. That length surprises me.

I'm combining my 1 mm dermarolling with a high Minoxidil content, but the Finasteride
and Progesterone is doing most of the work (probably the Finasteride).

That said, my hairgrowth is really good.

I got a buzz cut done just to take pictures and show people. Most people think I'm full of sh*t.

But I'm growing it long, and a beard as well.

My sparse terminal hair area (temples) has grown one centimeter, since I last got it cut
Friday, June 1st.

It's not that bad.

I just dermaroll mine ten times in one direction, all over my temples. And I do it two to three days a week.

The scabs, although small, heal over night.

And I'm a f*****g FOSSIL as well. Believe me, I'm older than dirt.

If my body can heal fast at my age, yours will probably heal faster.
