Are you sure you're ready?

Lots of old geezers here who don't like "change" .... :hmmm:

Whens this going down. Can we get it done with. The damn site better not be closed down for a few hours. I cannot deal with that and will take my business elsewhere. May an AA forum.

I just realized a big part of the new site isnt even done yet, and our programmer is off in Colorado on vacation until the 14th .. so I have to wait until he gets back. Its a nice looking new site. These sites are just so huge, that its hard to convert everything over. Takes quite some time. Let alone all the new features ...

Hi Jacob, how ya been?

I've been good..thanks. How about yourself? What in the world are you using/taking these days?

Looking forward to the new, all-natural website

Good one.

Im still using Topical spironolactone 5% twice a day and Nizoral. I don't understand it but I continue to keep my hairline. I almost wonder if Propecia permenantly altered me. That's off the record (im sure nobody is reading this). But seriously. Pre propecia - losing hair. 3 yrs on Propecia and then quit .... no further loss. I suppose its possible the spironolactone is keeping my hair. If it is then I should be screaming its praises from a mountaintop because I haven't lost an ounce of density off my hairline in nearly 3/4 years. I started this process at age 25 and im now 33. You would love topical spironolactone even though its not natural. There isn't an iota of side effects, and ... i guess the stuff works like a charm? Hard to tell without a study.

Just an update on this ... I probably spoke too soon. Converting this site to the new look is going to take me forever. I spent the entire day today working on one page, and this site has a few pages

Oh well, hang in there.

Brilliant retort. Impressive. You've silenced me with your scientific reasoning.

Aside from its solid scientific backing which pretty much dwarfs the level of science backing any of your natural treatments sir "ripple-effect", one would have to declare with confidence that my hair simply has "stopped falling out" for the last 5 years, to claim that spironolactone is crap. And that's just downright illogical.

Jacob - has there been any headway on any actual testing of natural treatments in the last 3 years since you and I last spoke? I haven't been paying attention. I know I've seen myriads of data generated on things like broccoli, white tea, and several other things, for other conditions, but hair loss seems to remain fairly untouched.

I just about gave that Jan Marini product a try- it contains spironolactone.

I can't think of anything regarding naturals and TESTING lately. Like with everything I think one of the main problems is just that ppl don't stick with anything for any length of time.

I personally am doing quite well with what I'm using- Juveline *seems* to be doing better than anything else I've used all this time. I still do use other products though.

I'll probably post about it in the experimental or natural section one of these days.

Ha...thanks...I thought it was impressive as well.

^ Yep, you really sounded confident when you said that.

I was not trying to convince you not to use spironolactone...if it works for you then GOOD. I'm happy for you. What I meant by the statement was that it did not work for me. You are probably one of the very few I've heard DOUBTFUL success from. KielMck was the other one and he wasn't even sure spironolactone was doing anything either. You both are putting your trust in the science behind it. Everyone else that tried it thinks its garbage(from what I've seen). Maybe there are more...I don't care. All I know is that it did not work for me. Sorry, experience outweighs "scientific backing."

Yeah, therefore it's crap... Brilliant. You have about as much insight as a bag of salted nuts.
