Smoking contributes to Hair loss

I quit smoking and saw more hair in about 6 to 8 weeks. Everyone noticed it big time. I smoked about 20 to 30 cigs for about 10 years. Quit 6 months ago. I really think its cause of the circulation. This is just MY THEORY. Smoking cause drying/hardening of the veins (arterioclerosis I think, not sure) hence heart attacks, also smokers usually have cold hands and feet again cause of their lack of blood flow/good circulation. This is the regular vascular system so what does smoking do to the microvascular system that supplies the hair follicle or your sense of taste or smell. It is a well known fact that smokers can not taste or smell the same as a non smoker.

Yeah, it was when I was 19. I actually overdosed on a particular substance. Not very proud of it.

I DO miss smoking my cigarettes, but I'm glad that I have quit.

I have noticed several benefits when I quit-- hands and feet started to be less clammy, less grumpy, happier, mentally clearer, etc.

Sorry to hear that.... You live and learn. I've noticed better smell & taste, more hair, no more yellow nails, harder boners, no more tingling of my teeth, and best of all I don't stink anymore, well harder boners, oh and I can jog now. Hope I can keep of those little killers
