Hey guys I just wanted to discuss the possibility that the use of my salicylic acid facial cleanser which is very harsh but good for my extremely oily skin may be contributing to my hair loss. See picture#1 for cleanser(Clean and Clear Deep Pore Gel Wash)

When I shower I usually wash my hairline with the cleanser because it prevents pimples in that area or the cleanser inadvertently gets there. But the other day I read that SLS especially in very abrasive cleansers such as the one I use promote hair loss by a factor of 8 ( or some ridiculous number).

But by this same logic shouldn't SLS also thin my beard hairs too. they are also hair follicles after all. This is just simply not the case.

Perhaps people who say SLS is bad for you are just fear mongers because even nizoral has SLS in it after all and we apply it direcly to the hair and let it sit for a few minutes

Here is a list of the ingredients found in my cleanser:

sodium laureth sulfate
ammonium lauryl sulfate
cocamidopropyl betaine
salicylic acid
sodium hydroxide
sodium cocoamphoacetate

Thanks!
