Slight Shedding Again At 7 Months on Finasteride?

Hello. I started the finasteride/minoxidil combo about 7 months ago. I went through a few of the initial strong sheds throughout the first 3 months.

After that, my results seemed to be fairly good, and my shedding had subsided until about a week ago. I'm right around the 7 month point, and the shedding seems to have picked up a little bit again. Instead of 4, 5 or 6'ish hairs shed in the shower, it's more like 20-30. Has anyone gone through this...or heard of it...or have any comments?

Any input would be great, thanks!

My shedding seems to have slowed down quite a bit from that 7 month point, although I'm still shedding a little bit more hair than I think I'd like to.

However, the hair that I'm shedding now is a lot thicker. I can really tell, because I have dark hair. My results right now look good still. I'm 3/4'ths of the way through a year (9 months), and it seems to look better than it has yet. I guess the hair that I'm shedding must be coming back stronger.

I've looked at the statistics on various websites, and they say you should stick it out for at least a year to see if the treatment is working. That's the decision that I made, no matter what kind of shedding takes place. The stats also say that results will continue to improve up to about the 24 month (2 year) mark. At that point, the improved results have "maxed out." From then on, results begin to level out and then gradually start to decline just a little bit...however at a much, much slower rate than someone who didn't start treatment. However 10-15 years down the road, they might have really awesome treatment options by then.

I'd say stick it out. It used to be when I was losing hair, I knew it wasn't coming back better than before. Since starting finasteride, I can lose hair and know the new hair is going to probably come back stronger.
