For the acne bumps - anything with salicylic acid that you leave on for a while. Put it on first, then your makeup.

That might be an idea. For example - the 2 - 3 x per week I shampoo w/ Lee's Regrowth Shampoo (which contains Sal. Acid) I always smear some of the excess shampoo bubbles on my face in the shower. I don't leave it on too long though - just a quick on and rinse.

But Lizzad - you didn't tell us you were using makeup! No wonder your face is breaking out :lol:

Yeah, salicylic acid is what is in the exfol serum that Pickart sells. Its in regrowth shampoo that Dr. Lee sells too, like hair_tomorrow said.

I've been using Dr Pickart's Super Cop Cream for a week now. Cleared up all the acne bumps...stuff is amazing. I credit the Salicylic acid. I was using regular cop p. and it had no effect on the acne. Acne washes I think are a joke. The salicylic acid doesn't stay on long enough to clean out the pores.

I like to buy from Prickart because his products come in small cheap plastic bottles that are good for trouser stuffing.

Why do you want to stuff your trousers? :shock:

right, first of all, your skin will rebalance its sensetivity to androgens within about 3 months max. in the meantime you can use retin-A, or a synthetic retinoid such as differin (r) generic: (adaplene) which works like retin-A, but with fewer side effects.

these medicines help to regulate the skin so that less sebum is produced, thus address the issue at its core. THey also have anti inflamatory properties to deal with big zits and will also cause skin peeling and regeneration (because dry skin (due to sebum inhibition) tends flake off).

if you need anythin stronger, oral antibiotic (tetracyclines) will do the trick. this is furthest you will probably need to go. dont worry about the acne, its only temporary.

As for my skin clearing up in 3 months, weill it might improve but its not been quite as clear even since i started finasteride 11 months ago, definately greasier aswell. I'll make sure to look into the cu, salicylic and retin-a solutions for sure. No antibiotics, no need.

LOL!! One thing though, don't start Accutane, I have heard that it is horrid to the hair and bad for liver too. You could also try supplementing with additional B5, which I have heard and read that is real good for oily skin. But I think you have to take MEGA doses in order for it to work in that fashion. Hell, who knows, maybe drinking even more Green tea will help, since it supposedly inhibits type 1 5 alpha reductase(which is in skin), but you will have to drink around 6 or more cups a day, if it even does the trick.

kalika - no accutane, thats crazy. My acne is mild, its mostly the "bumpy skin" on my forehead irritating me, its less smooth that before...tiny pimples...but yes, my make-up covers that up just fine. 8)

I didn't mean that I needed OUTTER SPACE - just some private personal space. (I feel so violated) No way I'd go to the Enterprise without Scotty there at the controls though. Last time someone else beamed me up - I went from a NW5A to Looking like Jeanne-Luc.
