Hello,
I'm on my 71st day (2 and 1/3 months) of finpecia (generic finasteride). Since starting treatment, I have noticed that my hair has gotten quite a bit thinner in the crown (where I had initially hoped to improve), and throughout my entire head in general (but most noticeable in places where male pattern baldness effects your hair the most).
Is this normal? I'm going to stick it out and continue treatment for a year, but watching myself "lose ground" is kind of tough...it's affecting my daily routine a little bit. Can you "get worse, before you get better" when starting treatment?
My hair loss wasn't that bad in the first place, but I wanted to treat it early to improve my chances to see a good result. Like I had mentioned...so far it's just progressively gotten worse. Anyone familiar with this? Any advice?
