Sides of head thinning is this normal?

The sides of my head seem to be thinning. My whole front temples and front area are pretty much gone. Is this normal? I thought that the sides of your head are resistsant to dht? Seems like the overall quality of hair on my whole head has thinned considerably and I am only 27. What gives?

none of the hair is actually DHT resistant.... some are just more "reactive" to it - front, sides, vertex... etc

okay, so this sounds pretty normal then for someone with male pattern baldness in his genes. seems like the hairs on side and back get inflammed alot, is this just the beginning of the thinning process?
