Sides from oral propecia, will topical finasteride be any better?

I have a frontal recession in the temples. Propecia worked great! After taking it for 6 months I couldn't even tell I was ever balding. But, I had sides that just got worse and worse, so I stopped a year ago. 6 months later my sides finally mostly went away, but the hair loss started again. I started on topical 5% spironolactone which I've been taking for the past 6 months. It's still giving me some sides, and while I'd prefer not to have any, they're tolerable. But, while I think it may be slowing my recession, its definitely still happening. So I'm thinking of trying something else maybe in conjuction with the spironolactone, or maybe instead of it.

I'm thinking of trying the new Xandrox 15 plus which has the topical finasteride. Since I seemed to respond well to finasteride, I think this may be the way to go. But, I'm real worried about the possibilities of still having sides due to systematic absorption. Since it took 6 months to make a 90% recovery last time, I'm real hesitant to just go trying stuff out. Can anyone provide comments about sides from topical finasteride?

Have you tried asking Jessica Simpson to sit on your face? That might cure your sides.
